Midway is a suburb of Swadlincote, South Derbyshire and is north of the centre of the town. Nearby villages include Newhall, Church Gresley and Hartshorne, which is further east.
The A511 runs through the north of Midway and links Burton upon Trent and Ashby-de-la-Zouch. Also, the B586 runs north in the east of Midway and if going south will end in Measham, via Albert Village, Donisthorpe and Oakthorpe.
There are various pubs in and around Midway; these include the Midway Inn, the Masons Arms and the Wheel Inn, all of which are on the A511.
